Early Pregnancy Scan

We offer early pregnancy scans from as early as week 5, giving you insight into the health and development of your pregnancy.
During the early scan, we assess whether the pregnancy is correctly located, whether there is heart activity, and whether there are one or more embryos.
Heartbeat activity can be seen from week 6+0 at the earliest.

Our experienced sonographers perform early scans as gently and comfortably as possible.
From week 10, the scan is performed transabdominally (on the abdomen).
Scans before week 10 are usually carried out vaginally, but this is always assessed individually by our sonographers.

What’s included in our early scan?

• See your baby’s heartbeat (we first listen to the heartbeat after week 12+0)

• Measurements of your baby and an estimated due date

• Several printed black-and-white images

• Short video clips of your baby in motion, sent to you after the scan

• All images and videos are delivered directly to your phone via QR code
