Do you experience frequent Braxton Hicks contractions, a previous preterm birth, or significant pelvic pressure? Then this scan might be right for you.

During this scan, you will receive clear information about whether the length of your cervix is affected or if everything appears as expected. We also check the presenting fetal part located at the bottom of the pelvis, usually the head, but sometimes the bottom. If you wish, we can also perform an abdominal scan to look at the baby and take measurements to estimate weight.

This scan is performed vaginally and is always carried out by our experienced sonographers. The scan is painless and conducted as gently and quickly as possible for your comfort. The scan includes a reassurance scan, where we subsequently scan externally and take measurements of the baby.
